Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè (/ˈɘgo/ /ˈlɘqe/ [ignorant] [chapter]) is a temperate Town located in the Lëcêngthëvi Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè was founded by Gilil Shêmeg̈nm, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 24°C (75°F). Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè receives an average of 276 cm/y (108 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Overview

Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè was founded durring the late 10th century, by Gilil Shêmeg̈nm. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 10th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of broad cobblestone streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town has a fortified albit thin brick wall. The wall has most of the feeatures of a typical castle wall, just on a much smaller scale and and budget. Notably brick isn't a particuarly soild choice for resisting siege weapons. Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè's wall wouldn't hinder a proper army, but it is more than sufishent for bandits and other small marauding groups. Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè's monster and outlaw focused fortifications are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

A look around Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè is like a look into a broken heart. There is no planning, no organization. Everyone here clearly goes about their own thing with little thought to anyone around them who isn’t selling something they need. It’s not malicious. Heads are hung. Eyes are empty. Something truly horrible happened here once upon a time and the town never healed.

Cultural Notes

Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its striking sculptural forms and often dazzling ornamental detail that characterizes the buildings general shape. The radiant colors, rich patterns, and symmetrical silhouettes employed by this style were backed up by rich decorative features including gardens, courtyards, extruded arches, domes, pointed domes, vaulted ceilings, elaborate painted and inlaid designs, and decorative sculptures.

History

Almost every community has some problem with bandits and highwaymen, but Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè is seriously plagued with raiders. One or more groups of persistent plunderers are hitting the community repeatedly, and they lack the necessary resources to fend them off or protect all their holdings.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè lost 169 people, 321 livestock, and 52 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 172, when members of Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè's militia enacted an operation to destroy or capture a specific enemy noble. The operation was complicated by one of the key objectives in the operation requiring sticking to a very strict and short time table. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in defeat for Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Êgo-lêqe Dêtîkè's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
